One of the reasons I love vintage hunting is because I love finding items that need to be rescued. It's very rewarding to bring them home, clean them up or repair them and find them a new home where they will be appreciated again. I recently found this filthy and sad looking picture in the garage of an estate sale. No telling how many years of dust and grime it had, but I had a feeling that somewhere under all that dirt was something nice.

It took a lot of scrubbing because the little ridges on the frame were filled with dirt, but a little elbow grease and a magic eraser later and this is what I had.
